A further evolution to the Pump product was initiated by the need to reduce the overall length of the pump more than 5mm, as well as reduce the cost another 20%. Whirlaway identified the key pump cost and quality drivers and assisted in the redesign to the extent that Whirlaway is listed on the patent application documents. The design and cost targets were achieved, and this product is to be launched for MY ’05.
