Whirlaway has considerable technical competence in the manufacture of components used in fluid or gas control. Product applications include vehicle systems such as engine, transmission, steering, fuel system, A/C, braking and cooling, as well as other non-automotive durable goods that are highly engineered.

Our extensive experience with multi-spindle screw machining, Swiss turning, rotary-transfer machining, broaching, gun-drilling, internal, disk and centerless grinding, honing and micro-finishing enable us to produce high-precision components in volume, to tolerances of .001mm.

Typically, these components continue down the value stream under the same roof where they are precision cleaned, automatically assembled and checked with lasers, vision, infra-red, and linear transducers in a class 10,000 clean room, then 100% function tested for compliance to leak, flow, pressure decay, cracking pressure, etc specifications.
The result: sophisticated defect-free check valves, pumps, relief valves and other fluid control assemblies ready for installation into our customer’s product.

In addition to processing a wide variety of raw materials, our supply chain provides o-rings, springs, seals, stampings, molded parts, etc. needed to build the complete assembly.
